New Town Weddings & Events/Jheart Photography Wedding Vendor Spotlight/St. Charles Wedding

Tucked back on the north side of St. Charles, you will find New Town, a quaint new generation borough. You will find a Marsala’s, a quick grocery spot, a coffee house, wine bar, sand volleyball, man made lakes, dinning spots and a perfect spot to host your unforgettable wedding day!

With 12 years experience in helping Brides & Grooms execute the biggest day of their lives, New Town Weddings & Events will make you feel confident your day is going to go smooth. Shae, New Towns lead wedding coordinator, has been in the business for 4 years now & her joy comes from spending time with her couples to make their wedding day dreams become a reality. New Town Wedding & Events is a breath taking spot to say your “I do’s” and then party into the night! Shae’s best piece of advice, “When you have a vision tell us, we will do anything to make your vision turn in to the best day of your life.”

New Town offers two locations for your ceremony. First, the bright & airy chapel that seats up to 250 guests. Second is outside with the vast scenery behind you while you stand in front of New Town’s Grand Canal.

I absolutely love the scenic view from the Grand Canal. There is plenty of space for up to 250 guests in both ceremony options.

The best part of the Wedding Chapel is the large vast 2 story windows letting in gorgeous sunlight for the perfect light & airy feel. The wood work on the doors behind the altar steps, create a unique backdrop. There is also plenty of spots to place any floral arrangements to enhance the beauty of the chapel.

Designed with your favorite colors and decor, this space can be a magical spot to say “I do!”. After you fall in love with the chapel, you look up to find it has a balcony! From that angle you can capture the entire aisle and everyone there.

This is the perfect spot to score some seriously romantic pictures. I mean…look at these gorgeous pictures….

The balcony also serves as a fun kiss shot!

One of my favorite things about venues is when they can host the ceremony AND the reception! Who doesn’t love a one spot wedding that also has perfect picture locations?! After you get married in the chapel or in front of the Grand Canal, you can move to their Event Tent for your reception of up to 350 guests.

You have to freedom to decorate as you wish and included there are beautiful chandeliers and rope lights to add to the charm of your reception. Jake & Amanda Maternity/St. Charles/New Town/Marsala's Market

A few years back I stopped focusing on photography(I know, crazy right…)and became a Manager of the grocery store my father owned. It’s actually the grocery store our studio is directly across from now! BUT, when I worked there I had this crazy idea of shooting a maternity session inside while she munched on all of her favorite craving foods!

Amanda & Jake NAILED it.

Amanda’s outgoing personality, which is why she is a rocking St Charles real estate agent, showed no mercy when it came to going all out and getting silly. Then we busted out the ice cream, cause she brought her own spoon, and the giggles never stopped from there! Plus Jake’s face made every silly thing 100% worth it. You can tell that silliness is part of why he married her! Love it!

Marsala’s Market in New Town St. Charles was so generous allowing us to shoot inside their store. Even when we busted open the ice cream! If you are ever in New Town, stop in there for a delicious fresh made sandwich!

I am so excited to meet Brinn in a few weeks and to see their little family grow from 3 to 4. Big brother is very excited for sister’s arrival and those moments of them meeting are the best!!

Macy & Bobbie Engaged/Belleville Illinois/Jheart Photography

When Macy & Bobbie called me and told me about their plans for an intimate backyard farm wedding, I melted. I am a huge sucker for the small romantic weddings, especially if it’s on gorgeous family farm property where you know it’s safe to have a big party!

These two beauties met while working together, which now days seem extraordinary because seems like everyone is meeting online. The Saturday we worked together was that crazy, 60 degree weekend here in the midwest, confirming how bi-polar midwest weather is! Since it was SO beautiful, we took it to the streets and started off in their town of Belleville. Macy & Bobbie wanted to shoot downtown in the heart of the city for some beautiful urban looks. Downtown Belleville reminded me so much of Historic St. Charles with cobblestone streets, old adorable houses that look so cozy, and a really cute businesses along the main strip. Bar Seven is where we ended, was such a fun dive bar with a super cute alley way, that we obviously took advantage of.

Macy & Bobbie were such a joy to work with and to get to capture their love in my lens. I am stoked to be at their wedding in September. I already feel like one of the family and it makes me even more excited to meet the whole family!

Danielle's Journey: Cochlear Implant/St. Charles Photographer/Jheart Photography

I met Danielle when she hired me to capture her wedding day in 2015. The day was beautiful filled with family, friends, and so much love. With their laid back personality’s and Deven’s ridiculous humor, they quickly became a few of my favorite people and friends. At their one year anniversary shoot Danielle shared with me, she could not hear out of one ear and only half of sounds in her other due to a genetic condition. I was shocked. I had many conversations with Danielle and had no idea. I mean, I was with them for 8 hours on their wedding day! She told me she is a master lip reader. Talk about being impressed!

In January 2017 I got the amazing message all photographer’s want from their wedding couples, Danielle and Deven were expecting their first bundle of love. On Friday the 13th of October, adorable sweet Harrison joined the world. Harrison was perfect. After a long pregnancy of gestational diabetes we celebrated his arrival with donuts! One of the greatest gifts about having children is getting to hear all the sweet sounds they coo, first words, and cries when they need you, Danielle was missing this. She could hear him cry in the opposite room or at night. As a mother of 4, I couldn’t imagine this. As a new Mom, Danielle decided she needed better, for her son. So she sought out on a cochlear implant journey.

“I couldn't hear my son cry in another room. I couldn't have conversations in various social settings. I'm an autism teacher. I couldn't understand my students when responding to questions. I couldn't hear police sirens, tornado sirens, rain hitting the roof, thunder, insects, and so much more.”

Dante, Danielle’s Dad received his implants in July 2015 and April 2018. Growing up with the obstacles of having a parent that couldn’t hear, Danielle knew she wanted different. His journey inspired her to go for the cochlear implant. Despite the unknown and possibly long recovery, Danielle this to have a better relationship with her son.

“On my wedding day, 6/13/2015, I picked out a song for my dad. The lyrics were perfect. As we danced, my dad couldn't hear the words to the song. The song that I picked out just for him.

My dad and I didn't have a close relationship, due to his hearing loss. We couldn't communicate well with each other and have deep, meaningful conversations.

My dad is in his mid-50's and just now experiencing the hearing world. I didn't want to wait 30, 40, or 50 years to hear.

This is my reason. My son. I want to hear my son as he learns to talk. I want to hear him cry. I want to hear him say "mama." I want him to come to me to have conversations about his day, his friends, and his love life. I want to hear the words to the song he chooses for his Mother-Son dance.

Harrison is my reason for this journey.”

Tuesday, November 6, 2018 Danielle went in for her surgery. Everything went perfect, she felt amazing, and she rocked recovery. On November 28, 2018 she was activated. Bringing along her biggest supporters, Hubby, Harrison, Mom, and Dad, (plus a news crew so she could share her story with others.) When she reached out to me, I knew I couldn’t miss this. Getting to see her hear Harrison talk for the first time, was a moment I will not forget. There were definitely tears and lots of smiles of joy. Dante stated, “This is a great journey for her to be on and I know she will do well”.

On day 2 of being activated, Danielle started to hear things she never heard before.

“I was sitting in my classroom. All alone. I kept hearing the strangest noise, but couldn’t figure it out. After 5 minutes of looking around my classroom trying to figure it out, I realized it was my clock ticking. A sound I never heard before. "

Today included hearing the ticking of a clock, hearing the keys on my laptop as I typed, and leaves crunching underneath my feet.”

How amazing is that? The simplest sound like crunchy leaves, brought her joy!

I love that I was asked to be apart of this journey and these three amazing people’s lives. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes Danielle.

Danielle is sharing her journey publicly to hopefully inspire others to have the courage and strength to have better. You can follow her journey on Facebook here. Below I have posted the news article on Danielle as well as some information on cochlear implants.

Danielle & Jesse/St. Charles Wedding Photographer/Blanchette Park Wedding

As guests started to be seated and the beautiful Rau Gardens Blanchette Park in the heart of St. Charles Missouri, the slight sprinkles disappeared, the sun came out just in time for Danielle to walk down the aisle. The beautiful flowers and colors make this garden one of my favorites to capture a wedding. Danielle &. Jesse have so much love and laughter between them that it was hard to not have a really fun time! Watching them blend their families together with vows really was a special moment. Their family and friends surrounded them and really rocked the night with some dancing!

Annie & Austin Wedding/New Town St Charles Wedding/St. Charles Wedding Photographer

Annie & Austin’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. The flowers were stunning, Annie’s dress was timeless, and Austin never stopped smiling. The Chapel at New Town is full of beautiful airy light that is every photographer’s dream! I had never shot a wedding here before and I seriously can’t wait to shoot more. The colors around New Town this time of year cast an abundance of beautiful fall colors all around them. New Town really is a gorgeous small town with a community that is like no other. Annie was nervous before walking down the aisle, but as soon as she saw Austin, her smile grew and the whole chapel was in awe, I mean…could she be more stunning?? These also had a party like no other with Annie’s brother’s band rocking the event tent!

Melanie & Corey say "I Do"/St. Charles Wedding Photographer/Quail Ridge Park Wentzville

Melanie & Corey had gorgeous weather at Quail Ridge Park in Wentzville where they said their "I do's". Melanie's gorgeous wedding gown that displayed her beautiful tattoo artwork was stunning with her side swoop hair do. Every detail was excellently executed and really made her look complete. The black and maroon colors complimenting everything about Melanie. I couldn't believe those were silk flowers!

I learned very quickly that the Groomsmen don't take each other too seriously when all together and they definitely love to joke. We had such a great time taking pictures and getting to learn a little bit about his friendship with each one of them. As Corey watched Melanie walk down the aisle he had to look to the sky to keep the tears from falling, which is perfection in the eyes of a photographer.

Watching these two say "I do" with their family and closest friends really made me smile. The Lodge at Quail Ridge proved to be a perfect setting with wall to ceiling windows the over looked a pond and lush greenery. I can't wait to shoot more weddings there in 2019. The ukulele serenading Uncle's was probably my favorite part!

Thank you Melanie and Corey for asking me to be there to capture your wedding day. I loved spending the day with you and your family and friends. I am excited to see where this next journey in life takes you!

August Graduation/St. Charles Photographer/Blanchette Park

August is a JHP 2019 bride & I was overjoyed when she reached out asking me to take pictures for you graduation from VetTech school. Then of course, I was even more excited because she was going to bring her recently adopt pug. What she didn't tell me previously was that Ginger is a 13 year old pug she found on a pug rescue Instagram page. Ginger has no teeth and hardly any muscle tone in her back legs which makes it very hard for her to walk. August adopted her to simply give her a loving home until she went to doggie heaven........I don't think I have met anyone who had picked a more fitting career choice. I am so glad that I got to meet Ginger and capture this fantastic achievement in August's life. Her cap was my favorite!

Next up...a wedding!!!

Another gorgeous session at Blanchette Park in St. Charles

Cormier Family - Jameson 4mth/St. Charles Photographer/Blanchette Park St. Charles

The Cormier family has been with Jheart since Austen was born and watching her grow into a kid really has me in a fit of giggles. Now with the addition of Jameson, her pinchable cheeked baby brother, I almost can't handle editing their albums. His looks of "What in the world have I gotten into" and her free spirit had me laughing so hard I had to video flipping through the images to their Mom! All laughs aside, Jameson is perfection. A chubby, bald, cheeky smiled bundle of perfection. Can you believe the flowers at Blanchette Park in St. Charles??? I love what they have done with the garden area!

Maverick Creek Session/St. Charles Family Photographer/Brommelsick Park

I don't think I will ever get tired of taking pictures of Mr. Maverick. This time in a creek with frogs, rocks, lemons and strawberries! His scrunchy nose smile makes me laugh and giggle every time! Brommelsick Park in St. Charles is turning out to be a great new spot for sessions.

Hopefully this cutie makes you smile!
