Holly & Paul say I Do/St.Charles Wedding Photographer/Brookdale Farms Eureka

I was so excited for Holly & Paul's big day. Not only because I simply love my job, but because one request Holly had at random, was to not have flowers, but to have puppies instead! So, being the photographer that I am....I set out on a hunt for puppies. 48 hours later I was set up with 6 adorable bull/pit puppies that stole everyone hearts. These two also picked a GORGEOUS venue in Eureka called Brookdale Farms. The rustic charm, beautiful open hillsides, and old barn were a photographer's dream. Watching these two come together after 8 years surrounding by their kids, family, and friends was really a treat.

I have also come to the conclusion that everyone should have puppies at their wedding. <3

Melanie & Corey say "I Do"/St. Charles Wedding Photographer/Quail Ridge Park Wentzville

Melanie & Corey had gorgeous weather at Quail Ridge Park in Wentzville where they said their "I do's". Melanie's gorgeous wedding gown that displayed her beautiful tattoo artwork was stunning with her side swoop hair do. Every detail was excellently executed and really made her look complete. The black and maroon colors complimenting everything about Melanie. I couldn't believe those were silk flowers!

I learned very quickly that the Groomsmen don't take each other too seriously when all together and they definitely love to joke. We had such a great time taking pictures and getting to learn a little bit about his friendship with each one of them. As Corey watched Melanie walk down the aisle he had to look to the sky to keep the tears from falling, which is perfection in the eyes of a photographer.

Watching these two say "I do" with their family and closest friends really made me smile. The Lodge at Quail Ridge proved to be a perfect setting with wall to ceiling windows the over looked a pond and lush greenery. I can't wait to shoot more weddings there in 2019. The ukulele serenading Uncle's was probably my favorite part!

Thank you Melanie and Corey for asking me to be there to capture your wedding day. I loved spending the day with you and your family and friends. I am excited to see where this next journey in life takes you!

Audrey & Mwinzi ~ Marry Me Cottage/St. Charles Wedding Photographer

This year I have developed a love for small intimate weddings.

Audrey & Mwinizi's day is at the top of the list. Marry Me Cottage in O'fallon is the perfect spot for an intimate ceremony. You pull up to a beautiful open garden filled with so many colorful flowers. Audrey & Mwinizi chose to get married in the back garden surrounded by beautiful white flowers and beautiful green foliage. Audrey walked into what seemed like a secret garden.

Watching these two connect at the alter, was the most romantic moment I have ever witnessed behind my lens. They really didn't need 150 guests, they just needed each other and it was beautiful.

St. Charles Wedding photographer/St. Louis wedding Photographer/Dee & Carl Engagement Main Street St. Charles

Historic Main Street in St. Charles Missouri is always a beautiful stage for pictures. Dee & Carl illuminated it even more during their session. They way they make each other laugh and care for their sweet Pup made this session one to remember.

I am really excited to hear the details of their big day, but in the mean time they are really enjoying traveling and just being engaged. Makes my heart melt! I hope you love this session as much as I did! Especially the delicious sweet treat at the end! Riverside Sweets on Main Street is a must stop if you are ever in the area.

St. Charles Wedding Photographer/Warrenton Wedding Photographer/Wyatt Wedding

One of the greatest pleasures of my job is having a bride who is stellar at DIY. Sarah & Ryan's backyard farm wedding was the perfect setting for all of Sarah's gorgeous decoration work. Sometimes meeting a bride & groom for the first time on their wedding day is nerve racking, but after watching Sarah look at Ryan with such love an admiration, I knew this day was going to be perfect.

When I asked Sarah what they are most excited about it she said this, "We see marriage as a union of two people dedicated to spend their lives together"....and if you really look at their faces in these images, you can see how much love is between them.

I had a magnificent time hanging out with their families, helping them eat a whole hog roast, and sampling the delicious homemade carrot cake. I mean, how could I not??

This was a perfect day to start your "beginning"

St. Charles Wedding Photographer - The Flourish Workshop in St. James MO with Ashley & Noah Wills

The past two years I have made it a goal in my business to attend some sort of class, workshop, or continuing education, as well as meet in groups of other photographers just to have fun and practice. I know how important it is to try new things and inspire yourself to create new memorable pieces of art for your clients.

This year at the beginning of March I attend The Flourish workshop in beautiful St. James MO with Ashley Wills LLC.   As with most things I was a little nervous going in. What's more intimidating that a room full of not only your peers but also your potential competition?? Instead though, from the moment I stepped foot into the Will's beautiful home I felt welcome. I felt that we were all there to not only learn from Ashley & Noah, but from each other. I felt we were there to encourage and lift each other up.

Each one of these amazing woman are all on a different journey, but with the same purpose. To share your artwork and passion with the rest of us. It was just an amazing weekend, sharing meals, knowledge, and what we love about this industry.

On the first day of the workshop Ashley and guest speaker Tiffany Katka put together the most beautiful wedding styled shoot at Wildwood Springs Lodge. This location was a perfect overlook of the rolling hills in Missouri. Ashley had so many great tips on posing, positioning for great lighting, and remember the tiny details like florals to make the image complete. Not only is Ashley a wedding photographer but she does a small amount of florals too if it is something her bride needs. Ashley did a beautiful job complimenting the colors of the venue to the florals to really make for great pictures to learn off of.

Let's take a second peek at the gorgeous bridal gown from Mimi's Bridal in St. James Mo. The way the light hit the skirt made it glow with that gorgeous blush undertone. It was so fun to watch her dance in! I really hope one of my bride's this season has a gorgeous flowy dress like this one!

I couldn't believe how many images I walked away with! Everything about this shoot was just so gorgeous. It is essential in our line of business to slow down and learn what stems your creativity and spark it again. Here is some of my favorites from the whole shoot.

Saturday & Sunday we were blessed with some of the best cafe style food from The Market Place Cafe in St. James MO. For Saturday's lunch we were served fresh cut turkey sandwiches and the best baked potato soup I have ever had. They delivered it right too us fresh and set it up so we could easily make our sandwiches! If you are ever there or just passing through, you should stop in for lunch or dinner!

I really enjoyed my weekend at The Flourish workshop. I came back home inspired to turn my business into what I saw it as, what I knew it could be. If you are a photographer looking to start or build stronger skills, look into the Ashley Wills Workshops. You will instantly know it was the right choice as soon as Ashley's huge smile & Noah in his bowtie, open the door and welcome you into their home.

Ashley loves to give gifts like me! We were given so many cute things to remember the things we were taught. Below are all of the amazing take aways we received from some pretty amazing businesses.

You can find the adorable mugs at Mugsby. We had lots of fun taking pictures of these which you can check on on Ashley Wills Facebook page. The adorable candle is from ModParty and they have unique and adorable wedding favors for your wedding party! Teals Prairie Engravers made the notebook etched with Flourish workshop on it. They have great options for personalized gifts. Last but not least, the perfect checklist notebook was from Paper Rocket Studios. I am so grateful I was able to also make connections with other great businesses that could be an asset to one of my brides while she is planning her wedding!

So many wonderful things came from my weekend at The Flourish workshop. I am looking into another one they offer in July! Come with me!

St. Charles Wedding Photographer/Chaumette Vineyards/Chaumette Wedding

Chaumette Vineyards was a gorgeous spot for a beautiful wedding day. The open fields, the grapevines, and the overlook of Missouri is just breath taking as you stand on top of a hill to say your vows. Not only is the wedding venue perfect for your rustic wedding day, Chaumette offers the cutest rental cabins for your bridal weekend stay!

I loved shooting here and couldn't believe how gorgeous this October wedding was. From the moments of anticipation and getting ready, to that feeling of relief as you see your loved one at  the other end of the aisle. I love capturing weddings. It brings out all the feels for sure.

St. Louis Senior Photographer/St. Charles Senior Photographer/Christian Senior Session at St. Louis Arch

I hadn't been down to the arch grounds in a few years. I was delighted when Christian decided to shoot his session down there. When his Mom mentioned he was a soccer player and wanted some trick shots, I was so pumped! Senior's these days are just amazing. Christian was so pleasant to work with and really did amazing in front of the camera. Especially for him saying he wasn't very photogenic. I mean, look at this guy! Christian is looking forward to hopefully starting college in Colorado in the fall.

Thank you Christian for hanging out with me and I hope you love the remainder of your senior year!

St. Charles Photographer/St.Charles Family Photographer/Ellie turns 2

Miss Ellie is one of the cutest tiny humans on the planet. She was a little shy at first with me and then before I knew it she was jumping on the bed and dancing for me. It is incredible to think little miss is 2 now and going to be a big sister! Ellie is going to be amazing at reading books and teaching her little sister to jump and dance! Thank you Remiger family for welcoming me into your home to capture Ellie turning two. I loved the in home session while she played in her room. I can't wait to meet the new addition to your family.
